The goal of the National Center for Data Mining (NCDM) at the University of Illinois at Chicago is to serve as a national
resource for research, knowledge transfer, standards development, outreach, and related efforts in data mining and data
intensive computing. The NCDM:


1.performs research;
2.develops software tools and systems;
3.provides hardware, software and consulting resources to the scientific, engineering, and medical community;
4.organizes workshops, seminars and extension courses;
5.engages in collaborative projects with the business community.
